Does This Offend You?

​This real estate postcard made working Moms fuming. It was sent several weeks ago to hundreds of homes in Snoqualmie Ridge.

Costello and Costello Real Estate Group of Issaquah were the genius behind this offensive flyer.

The postcard shows Chase and Jeffrey Costello on one side dressed in suits, a mother with three children on the other. The mother with three children is tied up while a daughter paints her face. A baby is sitting on the floor with a colander on her head, and a duck was standing in the dirty room.

The wording on the ad says "Part Time Agent" next to the woman and her children, and "Full-Time Professionals" underneath the Costellos are in suits. On the flip side, it lists what the Costellos can provide versus what the woman can offer. For the woman with three children, it says, "Available at THEIR convenience, not yours."

I personally know many professional working moms who are also dedicated mothers. There are thousands of other ways to illustrate the value of having a full-time Realtor in a competitive market without offending moms or anyone else. In my opinion, it is a terrible taste and judgment.
